BAL Internal Teacher Education

BAL INTERNAL CERTIFICATE III in DANCE TEACHING

The training of teachers of dance, as with teachers and coaches of other movement disciplines, should commence with developing the foundation skills and knowledge required to teach beginner level students who are predominantly children aged 4-12 years. At the same time, there is a need to set the foundations for the more complex skills and more advanced knowledge required to teach the advanced student.

This course, which is at the first level of dance teacher training, focuses on providing the knowledge and skills required to teach the junior level dance syllabus.

As the vast majority of teachers operate a small business it is essential that teachers are also provided with an education that encompasses professional dance practices, including business management and administration skills.

BAL Certificate III in Dance Teaching consists of three general dance modules, and three specific modules related to the dance genre required.

GENERAL DANCE MODULES:

  • FOUNDATIONS OF DANCE ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
